• In the case of the good categories of asparagus, the minimum length is increased from 17 cm to 19 or 20 cm. This requires an intermediate category of from 17 to 20 cm.
• The first-class quality category, which in the past was sorted up to a thickness of 16 to 26 mm, is divided - for white asparagus, at least - into two categories: 16 - 20 mm, and 20 - 26 mm). This results in a more standardised assortment.
• Depending on the weather, the proportion of category 1 White (16-26mm) or for similar categories can rise up to more than 50%. This means that you must reserve several exits for this category.
